In this episode with Patrick of the Liberty Weekly podcast, I interview
his paper he wrote on the subject of domestic violence.
Coming at this from a libertarian angle can sometimes fall on deaf
ears of people who believe that we simply need to use the state to
police the problem. Setting aside the moral injury of using
the social apparatus of violence, we should take pause in
reflection of the ineptitude of government to solve this
But we don't just spend the whole time focused on criticism, we also show a great example of effectively protecting victims from violence. Dale Brown of the Detroit Threat Management Center holds under his resume an impressive track record of crisis intervention without the common problem we notice in public policing of collateral damage. The number of officer involved shootings is effectively 0, being as a method of deescalation is employed instead of coming in with guns blazing.
